Save the Date Magnet
For the Wedding Invitations, I used a pocket of black card stock to mount the invitation and hold the four insert cards, which gave the guests important information about Directions, Accommodations, RSVP, and the Reception. I ordered the paper materials, printed everything myself, and put everything together with the help of four people. The finished invitations were then closed with a ribbon and a personalized monogram wax seal before being placed in a silver envelope to be mailed.
I also made programs for the wedding ceremony which served a myriad of functions, such as thanking everyone for coming, detailing who was in the wedding party and informing the guests which hymns and readings would be taking place during the ceremony.
To continue the Nautical theme in the church, we made Monkeys Fist knots to be hung from every other pew instead of flowers.
The place cards were origami paper squares, folded into sailboats, with the names and table numbers printed before folding.

I also created signs to inform guests of various aspects of the reception. They were asked to write a message for the bride and groom to open on their one year wedding anniversary, sign the "Wedding Anchors" which were an alternative to a traditional guest book, and to take some bubbles to send off the happy couple properly.
For the Table Centerpieces, I purchased 24" wooden sailboats and hand painted the table number on each sail. To continue with the nautical theme, I painted brown netting teal to match the wedding colors. I also purchased tea light lanterns and anchor shaped bottle openers as a party favor.
For the Wedding Cake, we continued the theme with subtle anchors of white frosting, teal ribbon, and a custom cake topper from Etsy.

As a thank you, the Bridesmaids were each given a robe with Bridesmaid (or Maid of Honor) embroidered on the back. They also received personalized hangers with their names written in silver wire, the date of the wedding, and ‘bridesmaid’ written on them (also purchased from etsy).

The main teal color was also continually incorporated throughout various aspects.
A Groom’s Cake is generally provided at the reception. This groom really likes the Justice League and DC Comics, so his Groom’s Cake could be no other theme than Superman.

As a thank you to the Groomsmen, they each received a superhero shirt with hand painted "Flinn's Wedding 5-3-14" on the back. This was done using a homemade stencil and fabric paint. There was also a Superman garter, for continuity.
(Tshirts, garter and cake were purchased through vendors)
